Company profile:

The ArtiMinds Robotics GmbH develops and sells the software „ArtiMinds Robot Programming Suite“ (RPS). The RPS is a developer software for generating program code for the execution of complex industrial robot tasks very intuitively and in a semi-automatic manner. This enables its use by persons with little training in programming robots as well as very fast development cycles. The main application focus is on tasks with process variances where sensor-adaptive robot motions are necessary for robust execution. The RPS currently supports force-adaptive and force-controlled robot motions. The support of industrial machine vision for support of intuitive programming of complex visually adaptive motions is under development.

The potency of the RPS is based on the award winning, proprietary, internal model of adaptive industrial robot motion task. It is the prerequisite for easy and simple parameterization through a lean user interface, combining drag’n’drop with guiding the robot directly for the programming of sensor-adaptive tasks.

The RPS runs on a standard PC, e.g. a notebook and is connected with the robot controller only during programming. The RPS generates a robot program in the programming language of the respective controller in tight interaction with the user, the programmer of the robot task. The program corresponds to a program written manually by an expert, but the RPS user does not have to write a single line of code and thus does also not need such knowledge. By these means, standard work flows for planning and programming of robot work cells can be adhered to. However, the required expertise is reduced while the speed for commissioning, tests and later adaptations is vastly increased. The RPS supports Universal Robot, Denso and KUKA robots and is currently ported to generate code for further robot manufacturers.

In autumn 2015, a very experienced robotics experts jury of the Robot Launch competition in Silicon Valley selected ArtiMinds as “Best European Startup” in robotics.
