The main mission of Ab.Acus, a research-driven, market-oriented company, is to spread and exploit ICT and engineering based methodologies in the field of social sciences, humanities and medical research. A multidisciplinary, multicultural, trans-sectoral and inclusive approach to research and innovation is at the kernel of Ab.Acus methodologies. Others two H2020 projects in which Ab.Acus is a partner are DiDIY (www.didiy.eu) ìDigital Do It Yourselfî and SocialCar ìOpen social transport network for urban approach to carpoolingî. The AAL projects Clockwork ìSmart system for the management and control of shift workersí circadian rhythmsî and HAPPY AGEING, ìa Home based APProach to the Years of AGEINGî, approach elderly people needs. The most recent FP7 projects in which Ab.Acus was acting as technical coordinator are REWIRE ìRehabilitative Wayout in responsive home environmentsî, MUNDUS, ìMultimodal Neuroprostheses for the Daily Upper limb Supportî, and SMILING, ìSelf Mobility Improvement in the elderly by counteracting fallsî.

Products and services:

Among our products: RehabMe- It is a highly flexible rehabilitation system based on wireless identification and sensing technologies. The system manages the setup of a sequence of tasks and the monitoring of its performing by means of a wireless identification reader worn by the patient and a set of sensing tags identifying daily life objects to be found and grasped by the user. A simple setup allows the therapist to design ad hoc rehabilitation paths for each subject even in home environment.

QuantifyMyPhone- Mobile application for collecting data concerning social behavioural of an individual, assessing descriptive behavioural patterns in the daily activity. QuantifyMe- Mobile based application for collecting and sharing cloud (remote) data concerning the motor, cognitive and social behavioral of an individual. The most interesting information are related to the subjectís health conditions.

ABRAM- Complete amagnetic hardware and software system for the supplying of motor stimula in MRI environment. Abram is a motorised circular table used to administer to a subject lying in MRI machines stimula in three different masked position. VideoTrack- Software package for the motion analysis of persons, animals or objects in any videoclip. It allows to cut time selections of the whole videoclip and examine the movement of interesting landmarks. Reach&Grasp- Software package for the investigation of reaching and grasping tasks. It allows analysing kinematic data acquired with several commercial motion analysis systems.
