Probot is high-tech robot company located in Oulu, Finland. The company was found in 2006 to fulfil the gap between research world and industry. The key-personnel of Probot have over 12 years of experience on working with mobile robot R&D. The experience on intelligent systems and modular mobile robotics has given the company a significant role in European robotics and already several customers on the area of next generation robotics.

Probot has taken part in several European-wide consortiums in developing the next-generation robotics in EU-funded projects and nationally funded projects. The business of the company has been focused into technology transfer between research world and industry. As result of this tech transfer actions, Probot has built several customised automation systems for whole new areas in the industrial production. The latest customer projects have been concentrated already on new type of applications among field automation and small area logistics with mobile robots.

Among customised and state-of-the-art automation, Probot represents Kinova Technologies (Canada) robots, F&P robotics (Switzerland), Barrett Technologies (USA) robots and PAL Robotics (Spain) robots as well as Shadow Robot Company’s products in Nordic countries.

Probot’s first own serial produced product, the MobilityModule™, was released in may 2013 and it is part of the companies Modular Mobile Robot -product concept. The MobilityModule™ is developed especially for fast and reconfigurable mobile robotic platform building. The main interest of the company is to take the Modular Mobile Robot -concept further and developing more useful modules for the concept by attending research oriented projects with the leading Universities in the Europe.
